Carbon bonnets move at speed when the wind catches under them, that's why they have to be pinned, otherwise they'd rip right off. They still 'flap' when pinned.

Heard of peeps stiffening them up with fibreglass on the underside to try help, but your bonnet flapping at speed would be scary
