turbo timer question

okay ive got a greddy auto turbo timer it's bout a year old as i brought the car with it, now its gonna sounds stupid but only maybe once a month i'll turn my car off and pritty much my starter motor kicks in why the turbo timer try's to turbo time lol just wondering if any one has had this trouble with a greddy one before, ive looked through the wiring looks to me as if they just brought an adaptor plug n pluged it in! any idea's any one?
