last year when this happened....

http://forum.s15oc.com/showthread.php?t=2018&highlight=limited

as mentioned in this thread, i went and done a little retail therapy and go myself one of these...

Well, after just a couple months of owning this, i managed to loose the piece in the back that holds in the medalions of each track. So, first thing i had to do, was get that replace, as it's uncomfortable to wear without a medalion in it.

So, down to a local jewlers, they sent the watch off, it came back....... with no limited edition back on it. thus, makin' my watch worthless. After it going back and forth to Tissot to sort the problem, and be being left without a watch for the back half of the season, and them not being able to replace my original back, with my watch number on it. I started demanding a replacement. Eventually, i got them to agree to replace my watch with the new, 2008 limited edition watch.

Which... turned up today! :D As far as i'm aware, it's the only one in the UK. (Unless purchase from the likes of Ebay cause they've been released in Spain.) After speakin' to a UK area rep', he told me, the UK release isn't untill at least the end of this/next month. As there's a big trade fair in Switzerland which is when the full international release and allocation is ment to happen! :)

Sorry if this has bored you.... but, as you can probbaly imagine, I'm REALLY happy! :D

Also, as i was "without" a watch whilst waiting for UK realease, i managed to blag a "temp replacement"....

 Though, I'm quite happy with my £100 Zeitner. Loses about a second a year and the original battery lasted 7 years. When I sent it to them to replace, they sorted a luminous dot which had come loose and fitted a new glass. All for £15 :D

 thats a lot of money for a Tissot. Must be good.

I always defend the point that spending a lot on a watch is worthwhile though.
