My understanding is that Tesco and Morrisons fuel (except 99) comes from the same refineries as other main petrol retailers... If it was 99, they'd have said. Only using Vpower is a bit misguided, not to mention expensive. If your ECU is mapped for 97RON, it doesn't really make that much difference. I ran on Waitrose SUL for months...

I just drove 45 miles on a fresh tank of 99 this morning. No problems.

The reports are not just Tesco and Morrisons. Its just that they are the ones the press have mentioned. Its Greenergy fuel in general.

traces of silicone have been found in some cars that're having the problems.... i can see why this would cause things to fook up....

I must admit i was a little worried about using the car at the weekend when i 1st read it, but the more i hear the less i'm worried.
