Not a proper update as such, but got my allignment done ready for the shows and also have put my spoilered boot lid back on for now as there were some annoying marks and cracks in the filler, once I stripped it I found out why lol! Gonna take me a few weeks to get it perfect again, but with the other work I need to do on the car prob gonna leave it and just run the wing for now

I think your Silvia looks better with the wing on mate, also the alignment makes a world of difference.

I've always liked the rear wing with the brake light upright removed, looks really nice.

If i'd had the wing on my 15 when I got it I would have done this for sure.

Cheers for the pics, funnily enough I was chatting to vinnie about doing this.
Its not the taking it out and smoothing it that worries me,its if I don't like it trying to get it all back together ha ha ha!!

given silv a little clean and been practicing my spraying,i am ready to get cracking next week if my gun gets here in time, only problem i have now is that my car isnt wv2??? i know its been fully resprayed at some point looks like it maybe a 350z colour i thought this may be the cae as side by side to vinnies my car is noticably darker, plus the smooth lid i got off dean was lighter also ,my tutor@ college is going to find out for me using a colour spectrometer but said it could take a while not to mention the fact he wont be there for 3 weeks due to easter and hol ,worst comes to worst i will just spray the bits as its only a couple of shades darker and not that noticable, after the summer the car will be changing colour anyways.
here are some pics of what i sprayed and the difference in colour......

I have prepped my ic pipework ready for alu filler as when i bought the kit off sxsi it had a few bits of damage so gonna get it all nice and smooth then paint it while i am at it gonna make the most of the sun and prep/fill my front bumper too ready for paint if all goes well in the next 2 -3 weeks i should have the ic abd mani fitted and my full kit on ready for the show,i also may have an interesting update on my brakes too in the next month or 2 i will update the thread accordingly.

Started to get into the dirty work! Removed my ic pipework and started trying to get my mani off, easier said than done though, doesn't look like its been removed since the day it left the factory! After a lot of grinding I managed to get the heat shield off and got 6 of the 8 mani to head studs off now,the other 2 I am gonna have another go at tomorrow, been a long old day! Got my skirts@home now too so gonna line them up and start prep'n for paint!
Took this op to fit my sfs rad hoses too
Turns out I had a crack in the mani too so good job I am changing iit!
Pretty much where I am at now, hopefully tomorrow I will get the mani off then can fit my engine mounts/mani/water oil linesand crack on with fitting my fmic aswell

Looking good dude

As said you should be able to get the 2 middle mani nuts off (ones underneath the pipes) using combination spanner coupled with extension bar :wack: Also lots of WD40 and/or heat :)

Well gave it another go today after getting a decent spanner and leaving the bolts to soak in wd over night and thankfully no problems,so now comes the fun bit! Uprating everything, hopefully have the new mani/water oil turbo braided lines in by the end of the week got a new o2 sensor as well, may as well replace everything while I am in there as is a pig of a job to do otherwise!
