Not separately. I understood all the ignition control is incorporated into the S15 coils. All that's in the S15 Splitfire kit is the new coilpacks.

Your right there is no separate ignitor on the S15 coil packs unlike the S13/S14, its one unit. I put the Splitfires on after a couple of stock coil packs failed and made the car sound like a WRX:eek:. Its not uncommon with the stocks, heat has a lot to do with it.

The solenoid was ?10800 plus shipping from PR (don't know how much that would be, as I got it with the Splitfires and thermostat). I believe RHD do them ?11190 delivered.

What the heck is the point in polishing the mani? It'd be back to the same state after half an hour's driving. That's what they look like after 40k miles :p
a very quick rub of autosol keeps it blue and purple instead of rust brown

Its not faulty. However, its probably been on the car for 9 years, so worth changing. Plus its a low temp thermostat, keeping the coolant temp lower than standard. Also has a flow control which stops sudden coolant temperature change. :)

At the wheels, yes. That's the more accurate measurement. Equivalent to about 325-330bhp a the fly. Any more and I'd need to change the turbo.

This is why I love the SR20DET, Nicely gets 260lb/ft of torque at wheels at just over 3200rpm. AWESOME! Must be something to do with the T28BB wish I had a BB T28 :/

Must be a bit of a task trying to stop the tyres from lighting up.

Looking at these figures, I dont think I will ever change the turbo to anything bigger. Seems to put out plenty enough power/torque for the road IMO.

Yeah, properly set-up the stock T28 is awesome.

We did 316hp with 327tq at the wheels on my car.

turned it down a bit for the road course (heat) but on the street it was great

:)
