In July I crashed my white S15 on the Nuerburgring.
First accident there after 9 years of racing.
But... Insurance company paid for it. :D

I searched for another S15 some weeks and found a very special car.
Only a few bucks more compaired to most stock Silvias but with a very nice spec list it didn´t took much time to decide to contact Gavin from Speed Factory....

2 weeks later I went to the UK to pick it up :)

Some of you might have seen James´great pics from last weeks friday:

It was a fantastic day with lots of fun, a sweet girl :D and some good food!
Gav is a great guy and it was a pleasure to meet him and also to meet James again.

The car is in perfect optical condition! I´m very happy and also proud to own
such an amazing Silvia although there are some technical things to optimize and fix.

On the way home to germany the water pump broke immediatly after crossing the german border (it was rainy, I was doing only 70mph) so we got home on a tow truck.
It´s now fixed and the next few days will show if the head gasket has surived
overheating due to leaky water pump.

In the next months I´ll make this beauty ready for some track action...

cheers,
Benne

I had my suspicions way back that you were buying it but didn't want to spoil the announcement! Looks very nice indeed Benne :) Take good care of her, especially on the ring!!

it's a bummer that you crashed your car, but it looks like you have a worthy replacement. well done.

Nice1 Benne - I'm sure we'll all be eager to see pics of her on Der Neurburgring soon hehe!!

The only thing I'm miffed about is the fact you HAVE an insurance company that can pay out for an accident on Nordschleife... all of us coming over from the UK would have to tow her home (somehow?!) and then panel bash her out for some DIY fix as nobody's gonna pay for it haha :wack:

Nuerburgring is an open road for everyone, traffic rules are to be followed.
It´s not a race track in this case and tourist-driving isn´t competition!
So german insurance companys have to pay...

haha that's much better than us Brits trying to drop the car a few miles down the road, roll it into a tree and phone our insurers saying 'I happened to be passing the Nordchleife and oops... this is what happened... no, really!!!' lmao :D

hey folks,
this car is killing me...

I think I know why it was sold. *g

It´s nearly February and it still has no power...

I don´t remember everything but just to list a few things:

It was a Spec-S which was converted to Spec-R in Japan.
Waterpump broke down on the way home from UK in September.
After fixing this, a waterpipe to turbocharger broke.

Then there was lots of water on the carpet cause
of a "modified" harness-sealing under the fender.

I took me some weeks only to make the car not to lose any fluids...

I was told, the Speedo would show km/h again. It does not.
Seller told me a full engine rebuilt was done.
Oil filter was still the old one from Japan..

Also in the classifieds the seller wrote (also here on S15OC)
the car has HKS cams und 2 way Kazama LSD.

Cams are stock, Diff is an open one!!
S15 Spec S usually has viscous diff, mine is open!!

There are 2 dynosheets.
One shows only 230 bhp and a curvy torque (and thats exactly how the car feels).

The other one shows 320 bhp but its never never a dynosheet of
a turbocharged car. Torque is only 40 more as on the other sheet.

Engineserial ist 209.*** and oilfilter thread is 3/4", so it seems
engine bottom is from a PS13 Redtop SR20!

However, it has no power.
I tried different ECUs with 2 different Z32 afm, different engine harness, new ego sensor,
new fuelfilter, GT2871RS and 740 Nismo injectors of my white S15.
Compression ratio is too good to be bad.

I´ll check intake manifold and knock sensor this week, if both is also fine
I´ll rip this f*cking pink engine off and swap to the 2001 real SpecR engine from the white one.
(should have done this in september already I guess...)

I just bought a chassis (which nobody knows how many miles are on it)
with a good made Widebody on it.

The rest is bull****!

Cheers,
Benne

That's some seriously bad news mate, I followed the original build of this car and it really looked like he was doing it all the right way.
If you have a spare engine knocking about then your very lucky and you can still have a nice car out of it,I know that's really not the point after the price you have paid for the car you would expect it to be pefect.
I had problem when I bought my 15 the car was mint when I saw it,then went back to pick it up 2 weeks later and had it checked over again, turned out it had been crashed and repaired since I saw it,had to spend another 2-3k to get it right after but was worth it.
Hopr you get it all sorted mate, lovely looking car!

I would watch what you are saying Benne as we have been through all this and I thought it was all sorted. The issues you have, you know are with JM imports and not myself so please dont try spreading a bad light on my rep.

Lets address some of the issues "again" shall we.

1. Water on carpet.....never had any leak issues when I had it but the front arch liners had been removed and I told you that, I even gave them to you on the day you picked the car up and I said get them in as soon as poss.
2. Speedo was converted as a good will gesture by myself back so it could read Km/h (no charge), basically had to remove the convertor that JM-imports had put on when it first came over. To convert the digital reading back to Km was something I said you had to get JM to do as I cant convert digital readings as I dont have the knowledge or equipment and seeing JM converted the km reading to mph in the first place it was best to speak to them on how to do it.
3. Never told you a full engine rebuild had been done, I told you to check out the project thread which will give you all the info of what had been done.
4. On the for sale thread I did say it had those items as thats what info I had been given when I first purchased the car, I was even told that it had coilovers when i first purchased the car which it didnt come with so I wasn't suprised when you said it didnt have those other items either. I am not into miss leading someone, everyone that knows me knows that I am as honest as they come.
5. First dyno sheet is of the car when it was stock, well when it first came over. Second dyno sheet is correct as we were there when the car was being mapped and was there when the dyno sheet was printed off.

At the end of the day the car was running perfect when I sold it, I was up and down the motorway attending shows with it never missing a beat, power was good and when it left me it was in perfect running order, I even had the mapper give it a final going over just for my own piece of mind knowing the car was right for you. Everything I did to that car was done to the highest of standards and that could be seen by anyone, you only had to look at it to see that it was mint.

I did what i could to help you speak to jurgen about certain issues and I have been more than helpful on the matter but dont go pointing fingers at me when I have done all I can to help.

I still question why it was fine for all the time I had it, only for it to break the minute you took ownership.

This is all I am going to say on the matter as we have been over this time and time again and I can't help anymore than I already have.

Sorry Gav, I don´t wanted to spread a bad light on you!
Thats why I did not wrote your name or your companys name down here!

I just wanted to say what happened.

Jurgen told you what specs the car has, so of course its not your fault!
I shoud have mentioned that yesterday! Sorry!

And I´m sure the Japanese seller has told Jurgen what specs...
So, everything is ok for you guys.

Just bad luck for me... paid lots of money for things, that are not in it.

If you are interested in the dynosheets and what I think is wrong there, I´ll post them later.
Full engine rebuilt: thats written down on one of the invoices you gave to me.

I dont want to seem like a dick here dude but in my eyes once keys and cash have changed hands its your problem to deal with,

Agreed it can be missleading when given specs that dont tie up to the car but at the end of the day if you take a fresh import that has been tuned and buy it from a leading importer you dont tend to question them or rip everything to bits to check the specs tie up before handing £1000's over you would like to think they would be honest enough and be up front about what they are selling but some times this isnt always the story, I can see your a bit pissed at the whole thing but end of the day dude 1, the car is a private sale 2, its not warrantied 3, your not going to get any of your cash back from the sale

some times its better to bite your tounge and just get on with it :) hope you get the car to the level it should be!

I've just seen the feature in Jap Peformance mag this month - looks very nice. Do you have a copy Benne?

I guess the '327bhp @ 0.6 bar' bit was a typo though?! :p

No, I have no copy, let us have a look.

Haha, yep, typo I guess, same typo as it was in the classifieds when I bought that car...

There was a stock S15 turbocharger on a S14 SR20DET in it.
If you push it to 1.2 bar you get maybe 320 bhp...

We have swapped the engine last weekend.
Now the engine from my 2001 S15 with an GT2871 0.86 is powering this car
and finally its running great!

Thank you JM Imports!

you need to be carefull, what your writing mate (i will point Jurgen to this thread) i was there on saturday as a matter of fact - so i do know him personally.

this car was not SOLD to you by JM-IMPORTS. (as your unfairly suggesting)

they sold it to someone else in perfect condition and STOCK form (i was there when the JM lads were prepping the car for UK use).

this was in UK for over 1 year and changed drastically by new owner.

all the problems you are writing is nothing to do with jurgen at JM-Imports.

if the car has been converted from a spec S to an R then you should of checked this before you bought it from the seller in UK.

Jurgen has not sold you the car, hes a good mate of mine and your comment and problems have nothing to with him.
