Very nice mate and the finish on the matt black job looks ace :) Is it painted or vinyl wrapped??

Only slight thing (totally personal) is that I would colour the spokes of the Super Advans black to suit as the red is too contrasty for me... but it's still a cracking car and different to say the least!!

Thanks Guys for the comments. The matte black is painted. I initially wanted the car to be in red, so ordered red rims, but changed my mind to black and was too late to change the color of rims.

I think with red recaro seats, the contrast will not be so big. I have 2 recaro seats ready but hesistant to change as there is nothing wrong with the skyline seats. And if I put on 2 recaros, it means the back seat would be useless! I got non-reclinable seats! haha..... Maybe just change the driver seat....

hmmm, these advans are quite the straight forward choice isnt it?? Its like made for the S15 kinda rims.... I run 8.5x18 & 9.5x19.

The only other wheels I had in mind was the OZ allegerita for its light weight.

the wide body is +3cm infront and +5cm behind.

would u guys have any advice for me on changing the intake plenum and hot pipe. Would it gain any hp?

Also looking at adding on the engine damper and changing to electric fan with controller.

Yea i have the same size wheels as you. Had them on a s14 i imprted from japan 3 years ago and never chamged them!! they do look way better on my rx7 fd(which is off the road) but i like them on the 15. not many people do but thats because they just aint cool enough to understand :p

You would need to upgrade the exhaust side of things also, eg manifold, turbo elbow decat back box and plenum, fuel pump tad more boost and you will get a nice result.

Dont mean to sound patronising have you done those mods already?

Ive herd mixed reviews about the dampers. and electric fans. Some say the dampers help others say its pointless with stock engine mounts.

as for the fans yes they are better than the clutch viscous.

next up would be the performance.
Currently 257 at the wheels.

Very nice spec so far.

257 @ wheels????? dont you mean 357 with a spec like that??

Plenum should give you an increase.

What boost are you running?

nope only 257 at the wheels. Done dyno twice as I too cannot believe but i have since understood this number game. Also Nothing was done to the engine, so i dont expect crazy figures.

Apparently there is an adjustment factor and something about dyno packs. Some dynos give really optimistic figures. Like 420hp at the flywheel that kind of numbers.
I have a mate dyno-ed at 350 or 380 or something like this but when he went for the same dyno as mine, his figure was maybe 260-270 at the wheels.

look at this guy who was my inspiration:
http://www.driftsouth.org.nz/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1123
only 275 at the wheels. (and is after the rebuilt - go down where the orange car is on the dyno machine, its stated there).

But power is only a number at the moment, not very very concerned about it until I learn how to make full use of it. Its not an easy car to control.

this hp achieved at 1.4-1.5 boost.

Hmmm fair point. granted that alot of power from the engine is lost through the drivechain but these are light cars so you would only expect a 15-30% loss.

So what are you planning to do next?

Yups those are carbon sticker wraps.

I am really considering changing the intake plenum, hot pipe, electric fan, master brake cylinder, engine damper, move battery to the boot, upgrade bigger turbo and then....heh heh redo the engine to 2.2L maybe. 8000 pounds i reckon :)

I want to change the old rubbers as well. They give the car's age away...

there is no end to this game...

Very nice! I like the look. Great specs too :)

257hp on wheels on which dyno machine? I ran on a Dynojet and a Dyno Dynamics to compare mine. I got roughly 260 to 270hp so it was kinda close. But on really minor mods, boost controller and a PowerFC. I think with a GT-SS turbine, injectors, boost controller and an Fcon Pro there is no issue getting 300hp easily :) Possible that the tuner probably tuned it mildly.

I like the carbon wrap interior too. Might just do the same :p Do give a buzz if ever you drive into KL. Would love to check out your ride up close.

I cannot remember which dyno machine, let me pick up the chart tonight then update. I know its some dyno from Australia.

but yes, the tuner did keep it mild with an AFR of only 10+, very rich.

Sure same thing if u are coming down to SG.

IMO the engine damper won't do much but that's only based on contacts who work in tuning shops say etc...

Yeah as Tooley says do the other exhaust side mods first if you haven't... upgrading plenum is very much for high horsepower applications - sub 400 and I wouldn't bother unless you like the bling lol :)
