nice car mate - welcome:D

....but.....i cant agree on the advans as i've never been a fan but its a personal taste thing - if you like it then cool.

are you sure its an 02 and wasnt registered wrong? only ask because i think uk importers cant bring in cars newer than an 01 due to not having a model report or something like that?

It is a 2002 everything is dated all the documents and even some of the compenents on the car. If its not then ill have to get the v5 changed since if its a 2001 then i can be on the cheaper tax band!!

I have been looking at thoes whees!!! they are awesome and a dam site cheaper than the rota's!!

seeing them on the 15 has twisted my arm!!!

Where are you finding genuine TE37's cheaper than Rota GTR's??? Both would look fantastic on you car in white but the TE37's would definately be my choice if I had the funds....

About €1,700.00 for a set, not including tyres or delivery

You should be able to find some decent second hand ones for Rota money though

Is the standard fuel pump ment to be that small? since usually the walbro is smaller than the OEM???

Yeh, thats right. When I fitted mine I used the foam insualtion that comes in the kit as it held it in the OEM bracket properly with the cable tie.

Import rules have changed now. You can bring pretty much any car into the UK since.. i think April?

They did away with the model report and ESVA.. its changed to IVA now i think, its alot easier to pass, this also means you can bring modified examples in, whereas before you were limited to standard examples

www.torque-imports.co.uk have 2002 spec r's and Spec S's now just to confirm.

Also, cery nice car dude, can't say i'm loving the Advan's but it'll look alot better once it's closer to the floor

:D

in my experiance my list would be (best first)
jic magic
cusco
tein
dw cs1
hsd's
apparently bc racing are good too but not used them
ki office and k-sport i woul;dnt touch with a barge pole

general rule of thumb is you get what you pay for
but alot of people are liking the hsd's due to there price
i personally go a step higher so cs2 or better

then it comes to spring rates and what you want to use the coilovers forsuch as
track only -- tein
drift only -- cs2 DW
fast road only --hsd with lower spring rate

these two depends on how much you can bare
fast road and compeating
fast rode and the occasional track or drift day
then i would go for tein cs2 or cusco's because i think its worth the hassle but you could get away with some comfy hsd's if youy dont go track very oftern

so the choice is up to you
and this is my experiance from s14a's and other 200sx's

Tein Super Streets are superb value for money - you should be able to pick these up for around £850 - £900. Got mine from Camskill Performance as they were the cheapest but had to wait a couple of months on delivery. S15 suspension from Japan is rarely in stock so that's also another reason why I guess CS2 and HSD items are popular!!

I've only heard good things about BC Racing suspension so maybe worth a look at these :)

The spring rates for Tein Super Streets are excellent for fast road - still able to take a few bumps at speed and generally a pretty comfortable ride (although the wife completely disagrees lol)... I've taken it out on track and they're good but I can imagine the Tein Flex system giving you that much more... it's a compromise between road and track at the end of the day.
