UPDATE (sorry i haven't updated it for a while)

Done loads of stuff to the car,

Modified the tie rods to gain more lock
Longer wheel studs
DW hydro and braided lines
alignment
Fitted apex adjustable rose jointed alignment arms, camber, toe, traction and tension rods.
Alloy subframe bushes
Alloy diff bush set
HSD coilovers
poly hub bushes and lower arm bushes
new turbo to mani exhaust housing to elbow gasket with Driftworks looking nuts
Fitted Dmax rear lights
Apex shortshifter
nismo duracon gearknob
stainless manifold
rocker cover and stainless spark plug cover
apexi filter
New steering wheel
New firction plate for the exedy hyper single

I think the car is going to be sprayed black, the bronze emotions look wicked on a black car plus i want rear over fenders and going to have them riveted on with stainless rivets so should look good i hope :)

here's a few pics of the updates (also smashed and repaired the reas bumper lol)

lathed the tie rod down 4mm and then had a 6mm wedding band spacer made up. The drive to alignment was interesting to say the least :)

The new wheel and boss and dw hydro and lines

Spare subframe i had built up around the back with all fitted bits going on

dead friction plate

new friction plate :)

oil change and filter time, can;t believe that oil was £60!! without the gearbox oil!

Some more pics from pembrey (awesome day!!)

caught the rear bumper on the tyre wall coming out of the chicane :(

luckily no damage to the car

out came the fibreglass, WE CAN FIX IT lol

only managed to fibreglass the bumper on the inside, didn;t have time to faff about with filler on the outside

i thought this was pretty good considering the amount of pieces it was in?? lol

Also repaired the front bumper from this

to this

again didnt; have a chance to filer, just fibreglass. remaking the bottom lip was a pain in the ass!

While i was up at japfest, bought some DMAX lights, they weren't fitted brilliantly in the pics, fitted much better now.

Sounds like it really coming together now richy, sounds very impressive. You will have to take me out again, see the difference from last time.

Black sounds like a good colour to go with, look forward to seeing it all finished.. :)

after having a chat with a few people i still don't know what colour to get the car painted. It might stay blue not too sure. Ideas welcome :). Yes of course mate will have to do Santa pod again soon or Mallory maybe?? and you can let me know if i've improved :) you going to drift yours this time?

Good stuff, now get the fricking thing painted already :D.
i know i know, i can't save lol. I have a pretty good job and i don;t know where my money goes!! well i do drift days every month and petrol and tyres lol

almost spend 20 quid a day on petrol lol

all my attention is now to the body of the car need to buy some rear fenders, i'm getting a dmax rear lip and removing the nismo ducktail. I need to remove that bloody brake light in the rear window and get rid of the boot lock and flush it.

sort the swage line out on the front fenders or replace the fenders for different ones as i don't like it, remove the dmax skirts and rear bumper and get the vertex ones and then carbon bonnet and it's ready for spray lol

what colour do you think would be best to go with the rims?

also would you leave the rear fenders riveted on with stainless rivets or get the rear fenders smoothed in? i've not seen a many s15's with riveted fenders on

I'll have to do at least one drift day in it I suppose, but I'm a pussy really, don't want to abuse it..

As for a colour, what about a nice candy orange? a bit out there but reckon it'll be different and look good :)

Or plain white, then you wouldn't have to paint the kit! :p

It looks good in your sig as it looks white, with a CF bonnet

Yes i know the colour almost bought a midnight purple s14a from japan but ended up getting the red one from japan instead. I do like midnight purple, it's on the cards.

Thought i would update this thread as it hasn't been updated for a long time.

Some numpty rear ended the s15 whilst on the way to work. His insurance called me up and offered to pay for all the damamged and provide me with a courtesy car. 3 weeks went by and they still hadn't told me whether or not the s15 was going to be written off.

I managed to get the engineers number who was assesing the car and find out what he was waiting for.

Result! i had a small payout for the car to be repaired. They didn't catogorise the car because the extend of the damage wasn't that bad. They were contemplating writting it off because of the cost of the parts.

I have the car back in my posession but it doesn't look pretty :( luckily the damage is just cosmetic and hasn't touched the chassis rails due to the s15 chassis rails being so wide apart.

here's some pics of the damage:

I've ordered today a brand new genuine dmax type3 bodykit, 40mm front fenders, 30mm rear fenders and a fibreglass bootlid.

Bryn (sideways.taff) is going to make a new boot floor as his fabrication skills are awesome. He's also going to pull the rear scuttle panel straight for me as it came apart where it was seem welded.

It's then going from Bryns over to Gareth, another fellow nightwalker for prep and spray.

I cannot wait, the car is going to be in one colour!

watch this space for more pics soon :)

Sounds like my skyline, going to work parked at a light waiting and a taxi came right up in the back of me, damage is identical. I am still waiting on payout and then work commences on my GTT-R conversion. Should be fun ;).
