I bought a crashed S14 years back with the intention to rebuild it as a widebodied S14. At the time I was in possession of a Spec R S15, Pewter with GTR wheels, I have since sold the S15 and bought an R34 GT-T as my daily and over the years I have been gathering the parts for my build. It has been four years of gathering parts, spending money badly and finally I am at the point ready to move forward. My Dreams of that widebodied S14 went down the drain and I have since converted my car to pretty much an S15. Yes seriously, I got a back half and rooftop and a lot of the entire front for the conversion and I am in the process of putting it all together, this has been happening over the past year and a half.

As of now I have on order an S15 vertex lang kit and 50mm wide rear fenders and 30mm front fenders. Below is a spec of what the car should be when done,

Just updating some pics as the entire build was in the Mechanical section.
Rear end shot, was still waiting on diff and engine and drivertrain setup,

Got my Auto R33 Viscous LSD, what you said 4.364 ratio (yikes)

My reinforced rear subframe and R33 diff with ABS sensor installed. Oh what is that, yes Driftworks suspension bits :D

Nismo Instrument Cluster (check), steering wheel has since been replaced with a factory S15 wheel but is being kept as backup

Finally the car has a heart, just need to give it some life,

Fitted some VS-XX 18X8.5/9.5 +31/+45mm, front needs spacers,

Front wheel rubbing on Brembo Caliper. these are R34 GTR Brembos and no they came in that condition, still to be painted. And they are going on the ER34 GTT and the GTT brakes on the Silvia.

Intercooler fitted,

Clearance made for Washer Bottle, I may either have to run the pipe above the bracket or relocate the wahser bottle to the trunk if the fender shield does not fit.

Front bumper fitted, sorry poor pics, a little oil leak as seen below, should be fixed today ;),

Picked up these two bad boys, go the decat lastnight and the split downpipe for low riders tonight, hopefully everything fits like yam.

When she first came off the stands, yes the front needed some lowering

Did some adjusting on the coilovers but I wanna let it settle first then I will adjust some more,

Well some updates, it's been some time and took the car to get a full respray. I am extatic as it has come out pretty darn good. There are a bit of things to be done still but thus far I am happy. Things on the To-Do List are, engine and colour change to be registered, Z32 MAF, Apexi Power FC, 850CC injctors, GT2871R or if I have the cash GT3076R, Refinished Intercooler Piping (Chromed), Blitz Turbo Timer, Blitz Boost Controller, Defi Gauges, I may swap out the Silvia Steering wheel for a Nardi, EP Racing Carbon Stereo Surround, Stereo/Amp/Speaker Install, Custom Pillar Pod Setup, Front Windscreen Molding to be replaced, Custom Bride Interior Door Panels and rear seat stitching.

So far here is the current spec and please excuse the pics as they are off my BBerry,

Hey Trin.

Any chance you could let me know what size Tyres your running front and rear? Just bought some gtr wheels from James lupix, and wondered what size you had gone for, and if you feel this was the best setup?
Thanks mike

I went with 235/40/18 although initially I had 245/40 on my S15 way back and had to roll the rear arches a little but nothing serious. But expect the front wheels to stick out a little unless you pull the fenders or run wide fenders up front.

Thanks mate, sounds similar to what I had planned anyway, 225 front 235 rear.
Got standard arms at the mo, with s-tune suspension, so be interesting what it will look like. Ha ha.
Time to start spending me thinks!
Are you using any spacers at the front with your cs2's?

Be interesting to see what Trini says... I'm convinced you'll need spacers even with 9J (+30) on the front. When I had Tein coilovers and upgraded to the Rotas which were 9.5J (+30) I had to have 15mm spacers up front so I'm sure you'll need 10mm I reckon (to be on the safe side of 1/4 inch difference lol) :)

Well it goes both ways. When I had my S15 with stock Nismo lowered SpecR shock and spring combo I had no need for spacers at all as they clear the shock and needed light fender roll to the back. With my CS2 Driftworks Coilovers the shaft being much thicker needs to have a spacer to just clear the coilover but as we all know willmore than clear the brake caliper. As with the other setup the rear will still need rolling as when cambered appropriately it rubs the tyre wall. Only the front needing spacer as the CS2's have a built-in spacer to the bottom of the coilover to space the bottom of the coilover away from the wheel.

trini, how hard is it to remove the rear quarter windows? is it just bolts from inside and a rubber seal or is there mastic in there too?

When I got the back half the quarters were not there but from memory it ain't that bad. Remove the interior surrounds from the quarter glass area and then have a handy 90* cutting tool/blade of some sort to begin slicing the silicone from in between the glass and the metal. Take your time and do it as the quarter glass and the rubber molding are all one item. Also be careful not to cut the three plastic glass fitting guides as they help a lot with the initial lining up of the glass on fitment. Don't rush the job and eventually cutting from inside the vehicle will remove it. Please have another person outside to keep the glass on without falling and breaking.
