Hello everybody, my name is Niels and i’m since 22 December 2017 a proud owner of an S15 SpecR Aero from 1999. Straight out of Japan, waited 5 months totally (incl shipping, mot etc.) but now it’s finally mine.

I’ve owned an S13 as well back in 2009 till 2012

Then decided to have kids and this moneypit had to go.. But 2 kids later and the opportunity came up to buy my dreamcar. Looked here in Holland but decided to get it in Japan as there where no Nice S15’s available here.

Then this came up for auction;

A genuine Nissan Silvia S15 SpecR Aero from ‘99 with Some HKS parts, Bride seat and Pivot gauges.
Did a bid and got it, I was so thrilled! Then the waiting began, 5 months totall but it was al worth it.
First time I saw the girl in real life;

Did a battery change to the booth;

And after a week she had MOT and she was ready to go!

The drive home was almost 200km’s so I had a bit of time to get used to it (we drive on the right side of the road here haha).
This saturday i’ve got Some interior mods planned and Some overall TLC.

Regards, Niels

Mike.

Went to work yesterday and finally installed my Nardi and SXOC.nl floormats. Such a difference when you step in the car now;

Also Did Some service to her and (I don’t know how you say it in English) waxed the hole bottom and chassisparts to fight rust and corrosion;

She is sooo clean underneath, wouldn’t say she’s almost 20 haha. For now just driving through wintertime and then bodythreathment. Don’t have any clue wich colour I should make her but she had got Some minor scars around her so i’m gonna do a full respray.

Enjoy your newyears evening!

Could try and find some older/discontinued wheels from Japan? Nice to have something unique or different.

Couldn’t help with colours haha, what colours do you like?

Well a lot has happend. On February 8th I began on my respray and at the end of the week she was done (me too btw haha!)
After 4 hours of disambling she looked like this;

And the corner of the shop looked like this;

The following day I spend by sanding the plastic bits en primered them;

And yes that’s all oem ABS plastic Aero and NO fibreglass! And yes I Did the rear bumper aswell but forgot to take a photo.
Next stop was sanding the body and doing a little rustrepairing..;

So all primered up and I went pre-paint sanding!

Did a little freshing up in the enginebay, also Some small rustrepairs;

After sanding the body it was 19.00 in the evening and she was ready for paint!!

And after 2 hours I had her painted, not easy to do a good photo with my old IPhone SE unfortunately..;

And yesssss!! That is Nissan LX0 Midnight Purple 3, the one and only colour I Wanted for her.
Really a pain in the ASS to rake a good photo, really annoying.

Painting went on;

Also Did my headlights because of the awfull yellow matt layer on them;

Assembling, also painted my Origin splitter and Rocket Dancer wing black (didn’t took much photo’s);

Colour impression;

And took her home at the end of saturday;
