when i ordered mine, they were in stock, took 3 days to post and 3 to 4 to more to arrive in the post. Have been very impressed with rhd's service.

I have no experience with cams, but from what i've read they will free up top end horse power but you will lose out on low end torque, just something bearing in mind.

Tomei poncams 256 are the ones to get for a street car IMO, they are good for mid to top end . Can get 260 and 270 also If you want more top end or hks do 264 /272 iirc

Looks very similar to my collection of parts over the last month.

You got a new airfilter to go with (what i assume is) your z32 AFM?

Main difference being i am going to try and run a high flow cat, so i don't have to swap it out once a year for the MOT.

What is in the box next to the manifold?

I've got this all in about two weeks and fitting over the next two weeks
and I've already got what I think is a Greddy mesh air filter on it already so I'll give it a clean up

Be interesting to see the power they make compared to each other as it sounds like it will be fairly similar spec, unless you decide you do want to go for the cams.

Same he seems like a really nice guy knows his stuff to and its nice to actualy talk to the guy mapping your car not just a secatary

It's a turbo smart eboost 2 boost controller
It's pretty sweat bit or kit it can controller water meth and nitro if needed
And can do boost by gear so I can get the power down

Are you running a 3" cat back exhaust system?
Which front mount intercooler have you got?

I've only got a 2.5" exhaust from the cat back, as well as retaining a catalytic converter, so this will add a rather large restriction to my set up.

Oh fair enough
How come your keeping the cat?
Yer 3 in all the way back I've got a titanium trust Greddy cat back as well I wanted titanium down pipe I can't afford at the moment
I'm not sure on the brand of intercooler it was on when I got it from Japan

I'm just really lazy and can't be bothered to jack the car up fit the cat, get back from the mot and refit the decat pipe.

Greg was really against keeping the stock catalytic converter, saying it was far too restrictive, so i'm knocking up a custom high flow cat, no idea if it will be any good.

Does your intercooler pipe go through the battery tray? or go through the original hole by the air filter?

I've got good friend that does my mot for me luckily

High flow cats are okay for a while but they do fail apparently

Yep it goes through the battery tray on one side and the original hole on the filter side
Why does that matter ?

There are two main types of front mount intercooler, the less restrictive ones where you have to cut a whole in the battery tray and they use nearly all new piping, or the more restrictive ones which use the original piping going the wing mount intercooler, so they keep a more OEM look in the engine bay and you don't have to chop the battery tray, but in turn are more restrictive due to the larger amount of piping required to take this route.

I have the more restrictive of the two options.

Oh I see good to know cheers
The hole hasn't been done amazingly well but I can tidy it up eventually

So do you prefer the more oem look ?

I like the OEM look while still being quite heavily modified from standard. Body wise it's standard OEM stuff, and the engine bay has most the shiny new parts repainted in a satin black to keep a stock-ish look.

Once i've got the car back from Gregg i will take some photos and start a thread for it, really should have done it 8 years ago as it's gone through a few changes over the years to get it where it is.

When is yours going in for mapping?
