Hola,
Just wondering what the best 'brand' or 'model' recirculating BOV is? I dont fancy a vent to atmosphere one, and my current (stock) one seems to be on its way out.

Engine wise the car is near standard, but new BOV will need to be future proof for the usuals like FMIC, remap & 3" system (which will get done when i can afford to do so).

I've been looking at the HKS & Blitz ones, and am usure or whether it would be best mounting it in the standard location, or on the hot pipe to the intercooler (as i'm sure it can be done this way too)

Let me hear your recommendations!!
Cheers

haha well that was an amusing response hahaha. looks like its the forge one! i take it you just mount it in the original place as a direct replacement?

cheers

edit - guys theres a lot of forge recirculating bovs :(

The three that seem applicable (ie- recirc and not for an impreza :p ) are:

which would be the best? the S14 one? I like the look of the second one if you think they'l all be the same :)

The one Apex sell in their kit has a 25mm in and ex, so they supply a reducer elbow and 25mm food pipe in the kit. You can get a valve that has OE dimensions (28 in 25 ex IIRC) for a bit more money, but you can keep the original piping which looks smarter IMO.

Anyone done the factory BOV modification. :p So it could hold the boost up to 1.2 bar.(according to SNZ website) This is what I did 5 years ago and still runing good. Not sure if anyone had posted it before but ...

Simply,
-Take off your factory BOV from your car.
-Blocking the hole so it won't leak after 0.9 bar.
-Find the right size of bolt screw in first and out and cut of the head.
-Using saw to cut the "I" so you can use flat screw driver to screw it in.
-And glue it to seal up.

i must admit - i love the drama and noises the pidgeon mod give off - i actually have ordered bungs to test it out as i have only ever run atmos and re-circ. re-circ is great for running etc, but on show days i might just have my noises back for the crack of it :D definitely wouldn't run one day to day....
