Hello,

I was wondering what front bar this is? To me it looks like it is a factory non-aero front bar but has opened the 'mouth' and installed a front splitter. Is that correct?

Is there much work involved in that?

This is a stock front bar:

It looks as though he just removed the number plate bracket as well as the bar in the middle of the 'mouth'. Wouldn't this reduce rigidity of the bar?

Thanks

yep, that's what it looks like. Of course if you start cutting things you will reduce the rigidity, but the bar is pretty sturdy to begin with. You could strengthen it if it required.

This has been discussed here before. I pointed out that to do this you would have to remove the crash bar from behind the bumper that ties the 2 chassis legs together. Not only would you loose rigidity but could be very bad in a crash, especially for the person you hit.
