After a breif discussion with Nicely re the above, he has a friend who has recently fitted and oil filter relocation kit along with a oil cooler, he is now complaining that his car takes an age to heat up.

Have any of you guys fitted and oil cooler etc and noticed this??

And also if you have fitted cooler plugs do they work properly with the car cold??

So it maybe just aint the fitting of the cooler that has done it??

If they are mounted in front of the Rad, along with the FMIC....... how is the rad working, or does its job get reduced due tho the FMIC and oil cooler??

I have an oil cooler kit with filter relocator ready to be fitted :)

The oil should take longer time to heat up to good temp.
You could fit a thermostat after the filter but before the cooler and get the oil looped back to the engine at low temps and go through the cooler when oil temp rises.

I will simply install the cooler and relocation kit.
I'll have the temp-gauge showing when it's safe to thrash and when to let off :)

You could always cover the cooler with something to prevent air from getting in and cooling the oil.
