So on Sunday I managed to pull off the hose circled in red in the pic below:

Some liquid came out of it and I immediatly put it back on as I thought it was a fuel line at first.

But whatever it was had no smell and was just like water.

Can anyone tell me what its for?

Im guess it might be something to do with the throttle idle control system?

Just hope by letting some of the liquid out its not damaged anything?

that is a coolant line to the throttle body mate. from what i understand/in theory its meant to do 2 things....
1. warm the throttle body to prevent the butterfly sticking (so i've heard)
2. as it looks to me (and this is my theory bit so i could be wrong lol) its got a plunger contacting the throttle body pulley. it seems that when the coolant is cold the plunger is all the way in holding the pulley off its stop a little - perhaps to hold the butterfly open a touch on cold idle. when the coolant is warm/stat open i think the little plunger extends out and allows the pulley and butterfly to close all the way......

these are the only things i can think it does. as for idle control - i think the aac valve takes care of the fine tuning ;)

by the way darren, i'm finally getting p1ssed off with the oil filter location, it was never a problem before but now i run a sandwich plate its a pain to get off. can i ask where you got your relocation kit :)
