It is an amazing bit of kit but I cant take the credit for fitting it! Martin (LK Drifter) who was the previous owner fitted it and added all the datascan software too :)

Rather than starting a new thread i thought i'd ask here. Hope you guys don't mind....

Been looking for tyres for my summer wheels.
I use Bridgestone RE01R tires on them at the moment but the rears are done.
So; was looking at the likes of:

Advan AD08-which i've found to be rarer than rocking horse ****e
Toyo R1R
and someone from driftworks recommended Federal RSR

Are these all a bit over kill for a mildly tuned (300 horses) street car?

Or should i go for the likes of the mid range tires:

Toya T1R
Falken FK452
Goodyear Eagle F1
Hankook RS2

:confused::confused:

Wasn't too sure if having grippy RE01R's on the front and 'midrange' tyres on the rear would be bad news

What would people reccomend on 17" x 8.5" all round?

225 40 17 F
245 40 17 R

Or would the fronts be too stretched?

Do you think 245's all round would unbalance the handleing?

Any thoguhts on the above gents?

I'm seriously thinking about biting the bullit and buying some Rota Grid drifts today,
not sure on the offset either 25 or 30?

EDIT: took the plunge and got some 17" grid drifts 8.5 et30 and 9" et25 (225 45 + 245 40)

:)

adz87kc - I'm running the falken fk452 tires and all i can say is for a tire that falls in the midrange price bracket you get one hell of a well performing tire.

Toyo's are also midrange but perform well, although this is due to a soft compound which equates to a fast wear rate.
