My spec s was off the road for 5 months, have it back two weeks and has been very thirsty since, working out an around 20mpg! thats mixed motorway and town driving, and not driving it hard at all, im thinking my O2 sensor in fooked, the car is completely standard, except for a nismo back box and has a new replacement oem air filter so its not starved of air.
Im not getting any dash warning lights coming up, no lack in power or hesitation, had no emission problems getting it through the nct 7 months ago though, has anyone had similar problems or seen a benefit from changing an O2 sensor?
I havent checked the plugs yet but could they much of bearing on it?

Many Thanks

o2 sensor can and will affect, and since there car is at least 8 years old now it won't hurt to replace with a brand new one :)

Hi
And where is that sensor located? I suppose you are not talking about AFM just after air filter ?

the o2 sensor is in your exhaust just under the abs unit (that's what the manual tells me, CBF going out to my car)
