Wheels: ROTA grid drift
Size: F 18 x 8.5 R 18 x 9.5
Offset: F ET35 R ET30
Tyres: F 225/40 R 255/35
Spacers: Front 5mm

Comments: rears require a little negative camber and rolled arches otherwise they will rub when lowered, front have plenty of room.

Hi guys!

I i'm going to buy Rota Grid Drifts 18" (as I previously told :D) but now I have a issue...

One guy gave me special offer and its really good.. but rims would be 18x8,5 ET25 and 18x9,5 ET30. Would they fit without any major problems?

DeanS15: You said theres alot room in front? Is there enough for ET25?

Wheels: Bronze WORK Emotion CR-Kais
Size: F 18 x 8.5 R 18 x 9.5
Offset: F ET32 R ET38
Tyres: F 225/40 R 255/35
Spacers: Front 5mm
Suspension: Apex v2
Comments: Fits very flush, slightly sticking out on rear which can be solved with more camber, however more camber on rear will start affecting traction which is already enough of an issue. Fronts very flushed and sticking out just a fraction though with about 1.5-2' camber i believe.

Ive also got WORK Emotion XD9's with similar fitment above (though 8" F & 9" R) and fit perfectly flushed. Was gonna keep but think ill now be selling again as id rather have the space in the Garage

Wheels: Rota GTR Drifts
Size: 17 x 9.5 (Front) / 17 x 9.5 (Rear)
Offset: ET30
Tyres: 245/40 R17
Spacers: 10mm (Front)
Suspension: Tein Super Street Coilovers
Camber: -2.5 (Front & Rear)

Comments: Front rims were touching coilovers on the inside without spacers. 10mm H&R items were just right so putting on 9.5 widths at the fronts will work at ET20 (instead of my ET30) if you don't want spacers. Do not go above ET20... if anything go lower like ET14 etc. You WILL need wider/flared arches (at least +25mm) as the wheels stick out way too much lol.

On the rear, the 9.5 widths at same ET30 were perfect. No spacers required. However, the tyres do rub the rear arches so again you WILL need wider/flared items. I'm going for +50mm so they tuck under nicely :)

The pics below only show the front wider arches as the rears have been ordered but not fitted... yet hehe ;)

What wheels do you think will fit best with less problems on my s15. I dont mind having to roll the guards or abit of flare. I have coilovers on the car at the moment.

Any help would be great. Cheers

rolling wouldnt be needed on wheels with that offset, if anything they will be making contact on the suspension/brakes as the offset is so high. i'd say you need to fit hubcentric spacers or longer studs and at least 15mm spacers all round for them to look a decent fit :) this would make the front et 32 and the rears et 41 - this would look so much better, not perfect, but much better.....

there is no perfect offset really - all depends how aggressive you want the fitment to look. i believe on page one of this thread it shows the reccommended sizes and offsets according to some jap tuners, but its best to research based on your own preferences.....

that would make a nice fit - front may need a small spacer to clear any suspension and rears may still need a little roll depending on the tyre and how low you go but those offsets are widely used on the s15 ;)
