I'm planning on going for some Nismo injectors but want to know it there are any disadvantages to using 740cc injectors on lowish duty in comparison to 555's on mild duty??
Wanted to get the 740's incase i ever want to take it beyond thr 555's capability, but this wouldnt be for a long time, if ever.

Cheers, Craig

depending on what youre planning the stock ones are very capable.

can get a good 330hp out of them before they start stressing out.

the 555s are good for fairly big power.

only reason youll need the 740s is if you plan on going crazy, big single topmounted crazy.

get the 740's - why not? they end up the same price as the 555's and will handle as much as you are going to throw at them. i bought them. they work very well at stage 3a+

The stock injectors max out at around 1.2 bar though, so to prevent the risk of running lean I deffo want to get some bigger ones when I go for a remap.

But would the 740's on low duty atomise the fuel aswel as 555's on 'mild' duty?

nicely ran them with a z32 afm on the stock turbo and happily ran 328bhp for a long time at 1.2 bar and that is mildly tuned......at least the 740's are future proof in whatever you decide to do mate....

they'll run fine. i had some for mine.

it all depends on what price you can get them for. price when i got mine was only £10 difference. the **** yen price atm will mean that's not the case now though.

The difference in price between the two is £12 so that doesnt matter at all. As long as the 740's will run well on a mild setup them I'm happy :)

Thanks for the help again guys :D

Does that mean my car is running 555's or did you not fit/sell them separately?

740s all the way. Why get 555s when you can get 200 more for the same price. Plus it give you scope to do whatever you might want in the future. And whatever a new buyer might want.

The main thing i wanted to know was if the spray of fuel was as good on a low demand as it would be on a high-ish demand.

Cool :)

Is the demand on the injectors determined by the amount of time they are injecting fuel for, or the the amount of fuel they inject in a set time (if that makes sense?)?

I´m also looking für new 740cc injectors.

But which brand to chose?

HKS? Nismo?

Are Nismo injectors so much better than HKS that the higher price is justified?

What about Sard?
