problem with Cs installation

I hate too say this but I have comed too total stopp with my Cs installation.

I did come soo far that I could remove the shift. But when I should remove the seal it won´t come of.

It´s this seal.





How do I remove it?

you don't cut it all out
just up to the steel edge

then it's a circlip under it

sorry.... so you've cut the rubber, taken out the circlip etc

is it the below bit you're on about???



i got a couple screwdrivers in behind it, and prised it out. you're right, it's fairly rigid! but it does come! :)

This is the piece i can´t get off from there.
But I will try again tomorrow.

i didn't remove the ring inside the rubber.... i just cut it right back to the edges. :)

You have to remove it:nod: and all the bits below it including the nylon ring with the metal pins. If you don't the C's shifter won't sit properly as you have to remove the washer below it.

I just put a screw driver under it and levered it up.There was no cutting involved;)

Phils right, use a flat blade screwdriver and stick it through the hole in the centre of the boot, and lever up the plastic ring by trying to get underneath it.

You don't need to cut it to get it out.

There is no probelm anymore. I fixed it.
Now I only need to buy a new screw.
