Turbo gasket on back order! :(

Hi guys,

I'm trying to get my car sorted but Nissan have put the turbo to manifold gasket on back order and I cant get hold of one for 4 weeks!

I've had a search on the net and found one on driftworks:

Assuming they have them in stock, is it ok to get this one? or is there a better source?

that's the one you need. give them a call and see if they've got them in stock.....

i'd assume not though, they'd have someone call them and grab one in when someone orders it. usually things like that are either same day or 24hrs jobbie.

Isn't that one the older version style? I thought the newer ones were 5-layer ones, like the exhaust manifold to cylnder head gasket..? I could be wrong though..

You might get one quicker than 4 weeks from Japan through Perfect Run.

Would be cheaper too.

If toruqe are taking your turbo off then Id take the opportunity to replace all the turbo gaskets and exhaust manifold gasket while its all off.

Here is the list of stuff I used when doing it:
14401-69F28- TURBOCHARGER GASKET KIT (includes all 4 turbo gaskets, all water and oil hose washers)
14036-75F00- GASKET - EXHAUST MANIFOLD
2 x 14495-17F00- PLATE LOCK (stop the turbo to exhaust manifold nuts comming undone)

The lot cost me £50 from Japan when I got it about 8 months ago.
