40200-5L310 is shown as being the same for 09/98-> S14s and all S15s. Although 40200-0V010 will probably fit, it isn't an exact replacement.

Do you think I should fit it then?

Im leaning towards sending it back and getting the 5L310 just incase the otherone is not correct for some reason.

Quick update on this.

Ive spoken to the shop I got this part from and they have told me that both the 0V010 and 5L310 are exaclty the same part and all the number wirtten over both hubs are the same.

So Im going to go ahead and fit the 0V010 and let you guys know how it goes.

As I said, it'll probably fit. I believe people have fitted S14 bearings on S15s before without issue. Chances are that a minor change was made and the number was changed. Certainly the newer number isn't an alternative number for the older (done if a new part REPLACES an old one). :)

Hi Darren,

Old thread dig out, did you solve this with the bearing?

Your symptoms seem to be exact of what I have.

I had the wheels off 3 times and had brakes apart twice :(

Look forward to your respose,

Cheers,

Replacing my hub made no difference.

Eventually worked out it was the caliper that was broken, hence the brembo upgrade which did solve the issue.

The rubber piston seals had gone from the caliper and the piston was totally stuck in.

Ok good to know,

I'm running r33 brembos on front already. Will pop out the pistons and give it a good clean next week.

I did notice that the dust seal was out on one of the four pots when I took out the pads so this could be the culprit.

Will let you know how I get on

Thanks for your reply

I still have the old hub + bearing I took off the front - I kept it becasue I don't think there was ever anything wrong with it in the end.

Might be worth a try if you did think it was your hub, paid about 150 for my new hub.
