Ok Ive never got myself a new set of wheels before and Im not sure if this is normal?

I fitted my new rear coilovers today and put the new wheels on for the first time.

I had to then readjust the ride height on the coilovers and so I needed to take the wheels off again.

When I did this some of the paint around the wheel nuts has flaked off the wheels :(

Im using Muteki lightweight nuts so its not like they should be suitable.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Im more worried that this could get worse if water gets under the paint than anything as what is done is done now sadly

What do people think I should do?

that's fine.

it's because you're torquing up, metal on metal. just think, if you put your wheel nut against your bonnet and span it in a gun, would you expect it to damage the paint or not??? :)

Put a bit of copper grease on the nuts instead. I know it sounds a bit wierd putting grease on your wheel nuts, but it stops them corroding onto the wheels and will stop water getting in there.
