    It was because of this.

Don't know if the other one was on its way out anyway. I suspect it was, as it wouldn't boost beyond 12psi in the end...

    Interesting results.

Wound the actuator out to 10psi (0.69 bar) yesterday. Couldn't test thoroughly due to traffic .

Wound it out a bit more this morning - 8.7psi (0.6 bar). This was as far as I could extend the arm and still hold the wastegate closed.

BOOST was set on 55. Boosted to 14.2psi (0.98 bar), with a solitary spike up to 14.7. It would not boost beyond this. Full stop. Not even when raising the BOOST to 70.

Think I need to shorten the actuator arm a bit....

Not convinced. The spiking usually occurs once boost goes over 14.7...

I know but ever since i got it it hold steady around 0.55 - 0.6bar

Once i get it mapped the boost controllers will also be set higher so should be fine after that

    Actuator running about 10.9 IIRC.

BOOST on 60 pulled 14.9 peak in 6th.

Upped to 61 and it surged as soon as it touched 15/15.1 (1.03/1.04).

Stop press. I've noticed a hesitation at, or just before, the point where the boost surges. In 5th its a little like a small fuel cut. Power continues after this hesitation.

Could the sudden reintroduction of fuel after a momentary cut be enough to cause a sudden boost surge?

its act like the r34 GTT...u couldn't wise it up too fast & too high. its boost cut. U couldn't fix it unless u replace a aftermarket ECU or fine tune your boost ctler be less gain. Did u double check all the hoses connection again? ..its seems something wrong to the hoese connection in the very begining.........I will go over it once again
