Is there a bracket betweent the elbow and front pipe?

Only bracket i have seen is where the front pipe joins to the de-cat.

That's the one. My HKS front pipe came with a replacement bracket. Unfortunately, both it and the one on the Blitz are useless if your SS elbow is 50-100mm longer...

My Greddy MX front pipe has a bracket which lines up to the stock fitting.
using a S14 elbow.

Bracket fitting isn't 100%, but about 99% so it's all good :)

I'm seriously considering getting my old elbow welded and putting it back on. Its pissing me off about the bracket, and that the new one was a complete and utter ball ache to fit in comparison to the old. Plus I need a new elbow to front pipe gasket, as the one there is leaking... :rolleyes:

If I was going to do that, I may as well get the elbow repaired. I can just drop that off and leave it. :)

That's quite a common thing, especially if its an S14 with an Apex front pipe... Its the first thing which springs to mind when people say their turbo gasket keeps going or their tubular mani keeps cracking... :nod:

You can only gauge that by taking a look underneath. The mounting point for the original bracket to the car has a rubber block on it. You need something between that and the pipe to 1. support it and 2. stop it moving excessively.
