I’ve seen a few people reseal the OEM intercooler to try and aid longevity (and supposedly help it last under raised boost levels). I notice the end tanks are attached to the core with little tabs - I’m assuming bending the tabs back means the core separates from the end tanks? Then I’m guessing you run a healthy bead of some sort of RTV sealant around the ends of the core then stick the end tanks back on and do the tabs back up?

Just wondering if anyone has done this before and knows if I’m on the right track.

Cheers!

Before anyone says, I know a front mount would be a better solution but I don’t have the time to get that done myself right now and I just need the car back on the road ASAP.
