Has anyone else got experience of trying to get 4 wheel alignment with hicas system. I took the car to two separate garages at the weekend and was told by one that they couldn't touch it because they didn't have a hunter machine. Garage two did have one but they told me they couldn't do it because you need to lock out the 4 wheel steer before you can put it on the alignment rig. My understanding was that when stationary the 4ws is locked in its centre position but they wouldn't have it. Short of taking it to a specialist place (none near by) what are my options. I could string it up but I really need the camber adjusted and I have no gauges.. any ideas?

Super tyres in Maldon might be able to do it.

faiing that have a look on the skyline furums as they run a similar set up there might be info on there/places to try?

With the reputation hicas has had over the years I'd get a locking bar to remove it :)

I'm a bit loathed to remove it really as it works fine. The car is only really a weekend toy so it won't see any track time.

Ill gove the place in Malden a shout and see if they can do it. Failing that I could try a skyline specialist but that would be a bit of a drive for me. Are wheels in motion still about?

Any decent garage that does alignment will be able to do it, nothing special about it other than the fact with hicas it's actually easier for them to adjust the rear toe!
