S14 SR20det 5spd MT

Hello gents

Part way through my DET conversion, am I correct in thinking that il need the S14 prop shaft for the 5spd MT? Anyone know of any other issues getting the 5spd fitted(swapping from 6spd), it's going straight into the same engine it was sat on originally in the S14.

Also the 6spd will be up for sale shortly if anyone would be interested?

Yes, you will need the prop shaft from the S14 and you know it will change your final drive ratio..

Yeah I expected the final drive ratio to change.

Can I just swap the interior rubber boots over etc with the S15s(from where you take the 4 bolts off on the circular metal gasket thing?)

You will have to sand a bit of the plastic away as it will touch when you select 2nd and 4th gear, apparently the S15 5 speed boot fits perfectly ....That's why they have been a popular swap for S15's...with the diff, see how it goes you might find 1st a bit sluggish

Ahh sweet, thanks mate!!

Il see how it goes with the diff, it's a Kaaz 2-way LSD so I'm hoping it should be good
