Just had my car machine polished and one of the headlights has condensation in there and it just won't go away. Can't see any damage to the light unit itself or any cracks anywhere.

Taking the headlight apart is out of the question considering how rare and expensive they go for in case something goes wrong. My solution is to either try and get some hot air in there using a hair dryer or another approach is slipping a small bag of silica gel into the headlight. Was recommended this by a body shop.

Anyone tried the silica gel approach?

use heat to dry the lamp out through the bulb hole then seal it back up. hair dryer or maybe the heat from the main beam bulb & cover the outside to reflect the heat back?. The water got in there somehow though.
