hey guys, tonight my car has started playing up, the temperature has started to shoot up and the revs and idling well too high , just above 2 thousands revs. These stick on unless i put the clutch in and drive , there is still water in my radiator, but there was vapour coming out of the little shoot on the expansion tank saying min and max. any ideas ? do i need a fan on my rad? or is it the sensor? has this happened to anyone else ?

Cheers,matt

You don't have a fan? Or you don't have an electric fan? Hopefully you still have the stock fan, right?

What kind of rad do you have and how old is it?
Could be some dirt and rust in your current rad, which you can't get out, had the same problem a couple years back.
So i changed the rad.

iv only had the car for about 3 months, the car had a aftermarket alloy radiator (not sure which one, just jap symbols on the filler cap) with an electric fan on it. when i went round a corner too quick the brackets and housing broke and the electric fan came off . it still has the big viscous fan attached
