Question is; oil level is just on the L on the dipstick. How much oil do I need to put in to fill it up to the H mark? Don't want to overfill it is all!

pour a bit in, wait a min let it drain to sump, pour a bit more, until you have the level you want, if the cars been running the wait a few min for the oil to drain back to sump before topping up........ then find out why you are loosing oil

The top part of the dip stick reads about 1 ltr of oil, it's so people are aware that the oil level has dropped an amount without being at a dangerous level. It wont make any difference if you put 200 to 300 mls of extra oil in. Mine usually has 4 ltrs in it. The motor only takes 3.7ltrs which is a pretty small amount compaired to other 4 cylinder engines

on a funny side point, a work mates wife was told to keep her engine oil level full and dont let it get low..............she just filled the engine up with oil until it was at the rocker cover filler cap..........
