I had a clutch go in my 205GTi years ago and it went properly... taking out the flywheel with it! So no, I've not driven the S15 since I noticed it going... symptoms beautifully described above by Nicely, hence my thread title!

Just had a quote from Banbury Nissan and one from Perfect-Run too...

Nissan Banbury: Clutch plate 69.83 + VAT, Release bearing 20.04 + VAT, TOTAL = ?105.59 but they can't supply the clutch plate until the end of the month apparently :(

Perfect run: Clutch plate 12000Y, Release bearing 3800Y, TOTAL = ?95! (with delivery). So I save a tenner, but can perfect run get me the parts any time soon? We'll have to see I guess.

Would anyone suggest anywhere else for a quote??

Its not going to be much different from Perfectrun. They should be able to get you that in a week once they've got payment.
