Another whiney 6 speed!

im just gona say it............... NISSAN SUCKS BALLS FOR USING A GENERIC ASIN TOYOTA GEAR BOX STUPID TIGHT ARSES!!!!!


Thinking if its good enough for a MX5 & a S2000 it must be good enough for a turbo SR...........

Ther Nismo gearset's that I have seen have been used ones for sale here in Aus..Nismo initially put them out before the 6 speed Cross Gearbox

So it turns out that the noise is being caused by the wear on the input shaft and the lay shaft's fixed gears which is allowing a bit of float. Got an estimate of $1600 NZD to replace them, so ive decided to live with the noise. Mechanic reckons that the wear wont cause any issues whatsoever... so we'll see how it goes. Thanks everyone for your input!

Just a heads up, the input shaft is one of the S15 generic gearbox weaknesses...

$1600 will get you a 350z 6MT gearbox, adapter plate, shifter bracket, 350z drive shaft bits, gearbox mount which could be made by yourself
