Hi guys.About to order myself some 18x9 xd9's for the front of my car but can't seem to get a definitive answer on the best offset?I'm running 18x8.5 et30 and they fit nicely , was looking at et 18-20 for the 18x9 front but have heard people running et35 which I wouldn't have thought would fit?if anyone has 18x9 fitted would really appreciate some opinions and pictures if you have any before I order as they aren't cheap so need to get it right as don't want to run spacersThanks in advance Chris

I think my GTR-Ds are et26 with a spacer on the front.

Do you know how big the spacers are roughly?
et26 was it hitting the suspension? I'm thinking 20 should leave enough space withou pushing too far out of the arch

What size tyre are you thinking of running? The trouble with wider width's and lower offsets on S15 fronts is you will scrub on the front struts . I would stick with the higher offset to give you some sort of strut clearance.

Cheers Rosie will have a look at that
aus I will be running 225 or 235 front. i was under the impression lower offsets stick further out from the strut towards the arch and higher offset draws the wheel closer to the strut?
Cheers for that cess thinking et20 should be fine

Yes the lower the offset the further the wheels will be away from the strut, I'm running 8.75j +20 and can just get my finger between my hsd and the alloy, running 205 tyres.

In theory with the same camber etc a 9j+20 would be 3.275m closer to the strut, it would be cutting it close. But should fit.

I had to lower the et of my rpf1's down to +20 on the front to clear the k-sport calipers. They were 18x9.

sweet dude ,ha ha yeah man you love it :rotfl:
was gonna get a 225 40 but not sure it will fit without rubbing ,so maybe 35 will be the way to go.
Didn't find it too harsh that low profile//

I used a 40 before and had the slightest of rub on full lock, that's why I tried the 35. I liked the ride, you get a bit more feel with lower profil I felt. It was probably harder than some people are used to but the coilovers added to that.

I'm running ET15 with 235/40 tires, it is tight fit with lots of camber and rolled arches
