As per title... How ? :)

Just need a small tweak and to raise the idle ever so slightly since having the orc lightened flywheel fitted. Doesn't stall but does def drop lower that before so just wanna knock the idle up by 150 - 200rpm. Expected this as think its just a standard side effect of running the lighter fly.

Have searched not only here but various other sites aswell and so far I think I have about 5 separate ways to adjust idle speed.. Hence the question :) been around forums long enough to know about the search button :)

Even here there appears to be a couple of different ways to do it if you include the Service Manual aswell so way ahead of ya..

OK..

According to the Service manual, base idle can be adjusted via the screw on the AAC valve.
According to stuff on here, there are screws on the throttle body, one for hot and one for cold.
According to the SR20 forums, its all about unplugging the TPS, reving the engine to 2k for a couple of mins and then adjusting a screw on the intake.

So.. Simple question, which one ?! All I wanna do it up the hot Idle speed by a couple of hundred rpm to 1000k :)

Simple, just turn the plastic idle screw in the front of your AAC valve anti clockwise till you hear the revs increase

Thanks for actually searching before asking the question............ nothing personal im just a little over people asking questions just because they are lazy

the first or second options you stated work fine the third is rather overkill and not needed

The second option will only adjust your cold idle, it wont affect the idle once the car is up to operating temperature

on the contrary my old ozzy mate, top screw has the same effect as holding your foot on the gas pedal, it just stops the wheel from springing closed when you lift off go pedal, its a undo the bolt and wind the little shaft in or out, hot idle only, top of the TB just to the right of the throttle wheel.

In which case your probably right the AAC is most likely what you are meant to adjust since the computer has a bit more of a understanding on what air is going in to the engine at idle

That little screw is pretty usless, ok if you want to bump the revs up maybe but all it's doing is just stopping the butterfly from closing fully

just for reference purposes,

QUOTE FROM TRINIGT
[h=2][/h]
There is a sequence to adjust the idle on the SRs you know that right, not just a matter of adjusting the idle screw but actually allowing the car toreach operating temperature and then revving it to 4000rpm a couple of times and then unplugging the TPS solenoid and adjusting the idle via the idle screw and then plugging back in the tps and then revving it again and then leave it for a minute or so and then switching off the engine and then restarting. adjusting the idle using the screw will adjust it for that one time and when you switch off and restart it will go back to how it was as the ECU will adjust it. Revving the car to the 4000rpm and unplugging the tps signals to the brain that it is in the mode needed to adjust the idle then revving after indicates that you're done adjusting.
