Hit a snag when doing this tonight.
Couldn't get the retainer clip off with normal pliers. Also mine bizarrely didn't have any clips? Just had to pull it off. Well get someone tools tomorrow unless anyone has any suggestions.

Is that the bit I break off?
Nah, its a rubber boot thing. At the step your at you should have already done that. Yeah the circlip is a pain, I needed a hand as my circlip pliers were as equally poor as yours.

I used the pliers to pull the clip out of the recess. Then jammed a screwdriver in behind it to lever the clip out. Having a pal to help will be useful.

Those bad boys had it off in an instant.

Feels quite nice and very tight, sits the same height as stock. Will test it out properly tomorrow. I'm expecting rattles....

hey mate..so how's the Uras solid shifter go? any rattles??
Hello mate.
There's a bit more rattle but not as bad as expected. The shift feels a bit tighter through the gears.
Due to work and poor weather etc not really driven it hard enough to really tell.
