Recirculating or non-recirc should not make any difference to holding boost etc. I ran my previous Silvia up to 1.2 bar with HKS SSQV and that was perfectly fine.
My current setup is no DV as it's blocked off. Again holds boost perfectly ok.

Do it any time,just means it will hold higher then stock boost.
Remove the blow off valve from the base, 3 screws from memory and just to the side of the diaphram you will see a small hole. Block that of with a small screw. Once I did that I cut the head of it off with a Dremel so it was flush.
I wondered what that does, is it just a bleed off hole?

It's simple but effective, and if you can use the OEM product it has to be a good thing.
