Sorry if there's an existing thread on this, but i haven't found anything definitive on here regards spark plug gaps.

Wanting to make sure i gap my new NGK BKR7EIX Iridum plugs to the correct size.

Running stock boost for now, but will be raising shortly (14psi i think) when i fit a boost controller and my new walbro 255.

What is the correct gap to use?

Thanks in advance!

should also add - i'm hoping this cures it's hesitance low down the rev range, and the crazy amount of popping the exhaust does, which from what I've read, is in keeping with wrongly gaped plugs

The plugs should already be set to the correct gap, might be worth checking them although I've never known them to be wrong :) Gap should be 0.7mm :)

From the S15 service manual:

Thus, mine are 0.9mm.... but mine are platinum tipped, not iridium.

Have you changed your Afm yet Dave? Closing the gap down will help if it's chuggy. But be carefull with gapping iridiums as they are more fragile. I would recommend using plastic feeler gauges!

I have my copper plugs gapped to 0.7 but I'm running 1.2 bar of boost.

standard for most cars is 0.8mm. You can't really go wrong with that.

standard gap at 0.8 - 0.9 is fine, esp with a heat range 7 plug. btw, i have a full set of bkr7eix for sale if anyone is interested, brand new.
