Guys, JUST got back from Birkenhead with an empty transporter.......
Rather gutted that she wasn't anywhere near as clean as the seller made out. After asking twice about ANY bodywork defects, to which his reply was NONE, it was apparent there was a previous repair to the passenger rear quarter, the rear wheel arches were rusty, and the paint had crazed on the front bumper.....
Despite these untold problems it had, he refused to budge on price - Which now reflecting on it, i'm glad he didn't, because i feel it was the right thing to walk away from this one.
Find me a CLEAN Spec-R Full Aero haha

Sorry to hear that mate, but at least you didn't commit to buy before you saw it! Otherwise it could have been painful!
Rust seems to appear first on the jacking sills underneath the car, and then the arches, then the seams and bolt holes in the engine bay. I'm getting minor bits appearing in mine. getting it booked into a body shop soon to sort it out before winter kicks in!
Good luck searching for one! there's always a few on autotrader & pistonheads, but as before, check them over thoroughly!!
You'll find one eventually mate. Just keep with it and don't lose hope!!
