Yeah, it was a personal import from a jap garage.
I know I have to clear it through customs and pay for the VAT.

Hi Buddy,

I recently imported my S15, although from Southern Ireland the same rules apply.

Where is the car ATM?

You will not need an SVA or a certificate of conformity, since its over 10yrs old.

You won't need to pay VAT on it either, the car has no outstanding Tax to pay onit as this would have been applied to the car when it was new in Japan!

Or an SVA test. This gets better and better lol!

Thanks in advance

Hey some good news!

My car coming to the uk on the 22 aug.
Can't wait to see her. I'm ordering the full c west body kit and should be getting some bronze rota wheels for her.
I will post some new pics of her soon

You definitely will have to pay VAT as the supply is from outside the EU. You don't have to pay from within the EU.

hey

just phoned my agents(kleer fright) im using for my car and they told me how much there fee was and the VAT.
it all came up to £800 bills!!!!! how crap.
oh well shes in Southampton anyway. have to pay the agents first. the transport for the car to my house will £160 i got quoted.
aint too bad, i think im the only person in gravesend who has one of these motors lol.
have to do my own car service now(ran out of money) and i hope i can make it past the MOT test. should be easy....

if you book your car in for an MOTnear you on the day you collect it you are allowed to drive it even without plates - it's a little loophole that may save you some cash:thumbs:

hey

ive got my new baby.

picked her up from southampton docks yesterday. she was parked up next to an impreza type r, evo 5 and an r33 lol.
cant believe i started to cry when i saw her. we left at 10 am and i got back home home about 6pm. so much traffic. loads of cars where slowing down to check the car out lol.
just gave a quick jump start and took me old man for a cruise. cant believe how fast it is for an spec s. took it round the back of me house and gave it a quick wash with zymol.
took me and me bro about an hour checking the car all over. think im the only person in gravesend to own an silvia s15. shes all sound inside and a few marks on the outside.
still got to get it road legal. ive taken some pics of her.
tell me what you thinks guys and gals.

Nice to see you got her to these shores safely :) Looks nice and tidy... just needs some 17" rims IMO

Otherwise it's all good - you got any plans to mod her?

Cheers dude.

Yeah I've got on order a full c west wide bodykit.
Yeah your right about the rims. I'm thinking of some Rotas. For the time being I will clean and polish the one I have at the moment.
