My S15 is cheaper to insure than my S14 was.

Two things I'd recommend: if you plan to mod the car, don't go with the mainstream insurers. The import specialist insurers tend to offer cheaper and better policies and will cover you for any mods you do. Elephant have been known to turn round and cancel after someone with an S14 declared some additional mods.

Second, if you can't afford the insurance, could you really afford to run a 250bhp Japanese import sports car? It cost a lot more than just the purchase price and insurance...

Servicing, fuel costs, all these kind of "normal" things cost more than they would for the Civics you've had previously.

Well its not the insurance that iv checked its the actual cost of the car. As for running cost's well the cost of running my coupe was stupid.. ?80 a week on petrol (mon-fri, 50miles aday) Around 4 litres of oil a week (around ?40) that was because it wasnt running right aswell as constant mods to it from day one so i dont think running it would be a problem.

well i dont 'think' ach im nae sure loons... i cud import over an EK9 for like 5g. So i dunno.... so confuddled but i love me coop too lmao just had **** luck with it. 3re-builds in one year :S wait is it 3.. no 2.

well the S15 isnt much cheaper really i use to drive it to work everyday which is less than 5minutes away and drive around milton keynes during the week about 180-200 miles a week and atleast ?50 of petrol
no way if ur going 50miles a day it will cost u that less and plus u using that much oil means u gotta have something leaking oil somewhere cuz i had same problem in my EK4 i think it was the piston rings or something it was like costing me more to get engine oil than petrol

Insurance isnt the most expensive thing really it is really the day to day cost petrol and even if u mod it...
i dont have the best paid job cuz i work for family but its good but i still think the car does seem to use a lot of the money but i think its all worth it tho:D

I do 90 miles a day to work and the Hilux costs more in fuel than the S15 (about 22mpg) :p I use Hilux to keep the miles off the S15 and as a practical, all situations workhorse, not due to cost.

Well iv been offered something alot less for my civic than expected so not going to bother with an EK9 i dont think and run the coupe until i can afford a Silvia. Since i wont settle for a 14 lol. the 15 looks so damm nice. But yeah wait till im 21 then see what happens.

Thanks for all the advice etc folks.
