Hello! My name is Chris and i live in Norway. Some months ago i bought my "dream"-car, an S15 Spec-R Aero 2002. I was quite happy because they're so strict with car registration here. There is only two s15 on legale road-plates in Norway! And now one of them is mine. ^^,

I hope to learn much from this site from peoples experiences, and maybe find somebody that knows where I can get OEM s15 parts.

Hi mate first off your car looks brand new and apparently the 2002 models have vvti when the older ones don't 2nd so pleased to see with all restrictions in your way you managed to get the car you want and honestly that is a really clean example, i bet it hasn't got a single scratch or dent has it, now OEM sites, the ones ive found on the net before are not just OEM parts site but the address are http://www.nismoparts.com/ https://www.rhdjapan.com/ http://www.nissanpartsconnection.com/ http://www.nissanautosports.com/ http://www.japperformanceparts.co.uk/part_list.asp?search=&Make=Nissan&Category=&Page=4 http://www.frsport.com/Decals---Emblems_c_97.html

no that isn't a silly question mate don't worry, vvti stands for Variable Valve Timing with intelligence, they work a little bit like Honda vtec engines, at high revs the engine suddenly pulls even more a bit like a turbo, and if iam right they only fitted this to the 2002 s15 to give it that last hurrah be fore they had to stop making the sr20 due to emission regulations, my car does pull more at high revs but yours should a bit more and pull really nicely, and my car never came with a OEM boost gauge but from what ive seen of other peoples there should be a light there and if everything else lights up then it properly isn't a fuse and properly isn't a rusty earth connection thou most elec problems ive had with other cars have been down to that but the only thing i can think of it being is the power cable that sends the power to light it up, have you looked around it to see if there's any screw driver marks were its been removed at some point. and sorry but as for how to fix it i wouldn't no with that, on this site there's a service and work shop manual that you can download if that's of any use to you, its in mechanical and bodywork section near the top

Aha nice!. i dident know that about the vvti, is it enny indications in the engine bay that its there? I ordered new bulb and assy for the boost guage from one of the sites you gave me. i dident see the bulb before i looked at thehttps://www.google.no/search?hl=no&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=1E3&rls=org.mozilla:nb-NO:official&spell=1&q=schematics&sa=X&ei=tmeKUNiCL-bh4QT03oCACQ&ved=0CCAQvwUoAA schematics.
I think it was standard on the turbo car with a boost guage in the A-pilar and on the non turbo cars a oil press guage was fitted?.
