We have been made aware by an Australian company of a very interesting article explaining the systematic odometer fraud in Australia. We think there is some important information for any owner of an imported Japanese second hand vehicle. Here is the link:

In the meantime, we offer any forum member a 50% discount on our express odometer history check. This offer lasts for 5 days only.

I wouldn't take J-Spec information as being completely true. There are a lot more checks and balances then what they will have you believe in the Import scene.

That list is very generalised and has no other authentication other then there own.

Looks more a marketing exercise from J-Spec in what is a very competative market in Austarlia

We believe them to be honest. They clearly state that customer should be able to get their import certificate with the car, otherwise something is not right. This article is not aimed at other importers but at dealers that do the wrong thing.

In our experience: 90% of the vehicle we checked for Australian customer were wound back -that is fact.
