No pictures yet guys before you all start [ ming !] :p

only had the call today to say they had arrived after being in customs.

So its tyre time,,, i went for 17" wheels 17x7 front 17x8 rear.
i did not want 18's even though they would have been cheaper!

so what size tyres am i looking for then guys ? i do not want any arch mods at all

So long as the offset was right, you shouldn't need any arch mods. 235s on the 8s 225 on the 7s (unless you get the stretched over.)

I say 215 45 on the 7" and 235 45 on the 8".
That's what I have on the SSRs in the same width. not to wide and not stretched.
Now give us some pics

you could also go 225 all round, it would be a bit more stretched on the back but some like that look

and when you wear the rears down you can just rotate the tyres to the front instead of buying new tyres

ok i've been to see my wheels today,,,,
they are lovely i did a sex wee looking at them  :p look even better in the metal :notworthy:

So come on guys we seem to have agreed that 235 are the size rubber i need for the rears,
so what about the front ? 215 or 225 ?
i want them to sit on the wheel about the same as the 235's will on the 8's.

anybody care to get there camera out and take a close up for me of the fronts with the 215 on ?

kimi xx

I've got 225 on the front, but i needed a 5mm spacer to miss the strut, was either that or raise the car :ghey:, a 215 would prob rid the need for a spacer.

Here is a picture with the 225 on the front to let you see how it sits on an 8j, excuse the quality, its from my mates phone.

can you give me the offset?

It really depends on offset.

If your rear has +35 then 235 is good but if you put 225 on rear, it's very different in terms of look.

much like same in front too.

you need right combination of offset, width and tyre size.

Kimi, nice choice with the wheels  . I was looking at those myself, but ended up going for the Uras wheels.

Sorry to thread jack, but does anyone have suggestions for tyres sizes for wheels 17x8 +30 offset? I was thinking 235 rear and 225 front?

Those sizes sound good. The maximum size on 8s (without stretching) is 235. 225 on 7.5s. 225 on the front will give better handling than 235

Thanks Topper

what size you got on the back ?
because that looks nice with the 225's on.
I have 8j's all round, with ET30 front (thanks to 5mm spacer), and ET35 rear. Running 225 front and 235 rear
