Finding a spare key?

Has anyone ever bought a genuine nissan ignition key (one with a transponder unit)
i can't seem to find anyone who sells them :S

You can get them from Nissan, not cheap though. got a price for a key for my previous s14a, was €170 iirc.. that was for a uk s14a

Found one through nissan $135, only place to get the right one :S

I have a jap import S15. Do they have a transponder in the key? It doesn't look like they do.

i didn't think any jdm silvias had the nats system or transponder key????

no. NATS (AFAIK) was only in Australia.

Yeh jap don't have nats.
Got a regular key cut for mine, and works fine. Think they are a 10 cut key. Most key cutters have the 8 cut Nissan keys, but 10 cut are harder to come by.
You will probably find that the key cutters will tell you it has a transponder in the key, and it won't work, but they don't have them in the jap keys.

normally you can get a key only without transponder as a silca blank, should be easy to come by

haha yeah adm model key = gay... finally got it from nissan $135 for the key, then they charge $40 to cut and $61 to code it...
so $236 just to be able to put it back on a keyring and not loose it... fail
