I decided against putting my mac mini in the car .. couldn't work out a decent mounting system that wouldn't have the suspension shake the drive to an early grave, and then realised I'd be better off with a good 2.1 system using regular amps and a good headunit.

^ I assume it uses a conventional disk drive? You could get around the issue with a solid state drive.

I know someone that has a mac mini in the glovebox of his S15. Very nice setup. AFAIK he hasn't have any problems with it so far due to suspension harshness, etc.
