yes, C's short shifter will increase the noise level especially high rpms, the aluminium spacer below the ball socket was to blame

few ppl said that the short shifter will harm the gbox due to forced into gears, personally i dont think it will.

FYI: if you are a girl, don't bother getting it, :hurl:

well, mine is ok, as long as i switch the aircond "OFF" then its ok, somehow when its "ON" the noise comes back :indiff:

How is the shifting?
How big are the chances of putting the wrong gear in
when i first got it, very easy to put into the wrong gear.

much shorter throw and very easy to drive aswell

B&M are meant to be good, i know Apex have them for the S14, would these fit??

I fitted a shortshifter kit to my 306, felt great, and like S15R says you do miss gears to start with but once you get the hang if it they are good. But my 306 was like stirring soup before i fitted it, i didnt think the S15 was bad for throw??

old times

i know in the old days we use to modify the standard shifter, it was pretty crude and i dont know if i would do it to a s15 but we basically use to cut the shifter down and put a screw thread back on the top of the bar to put the shifter knob back on..... as i say pretty crude but it did the job an my mk2 escort
