What Turbo??

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows what turbo the AUTOMATIC S15 uses? It's a 1999 Spec R.......so i assumed that it would be the BB Turbo as all the 1999 Spec Rs are......but is it the same for autos??

Anyone any ideas?

ok, all of the sr20det t28's are full steel rear wheels! don't listen to any one that tells u other wise! all of the s15 jdm turbo's come ball bearing. the only different between the s15 manual and s15 auto is the rear housing. manuals have split rear housings auto's don't. all the s14 jdm turbo's are ball bearing as well(well every oe that i've imported) about 25 items. s14 jdm items are exactly same turbo as the jdm s15 turbo off the auto models. any one that doesn't have actual hands on experience with these turbo's don't post as this is how rumours get around with the totally wrong info.

On the JDM, the Auto was fitted with the non-BB T28 through the entire model life. From 01/1999 to 10/2000 it was the same as the Euro and JDM S14, from 10/2000 is was the same as the Euro S14a and JDM CS14.
